SASKATOON — On May 30, three new deacons were ordained at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Saskatoon, by the Right Rev. Chad McCharles, 14th Bishop of the Diocese of Saskatoon. Ordained to the sacred order of deacons were Anastasia Gheyssen, Elliot Lou and Judith Herbert.  The service of ordination was followed by a reception and lunch in the cathedral’s parish hall, where the three new deacons cut and distributed cake in celebration of their ordinations.
